An office manager at Wal-Mart was given the task of hiring an individual to fill a job opening. After sorting through a stack of resumes he found four people who were equally qualified. .. An American, a Russian, an Australian and a Filipino. He decided to call the four in and ask them only one question. Their answer would determine which of them would get the job. The day came and as the four sat around the conference room table the interviewer asked,

“What is the fastest thing you know of?”

Acknowledging Dave, the American on his right, the man replied, ” A THOUGHT”. It just pops into your head. There’s no warning that it’s on the way; it’s just there. A thought is the fastest thing I know of.” ”

That’s very good!” replied the interviewer.”And now you sir?” he asked Vladimir, the Russian.

“Hmm…. let me see. A blink! It comes and goes and you don’t know that it ever happened. A BLINKis the fastest thing I know of.”

“Excellent!” said the interviewer. “The blink of an eye, that’s a very popular cliché for speed.” He then turned to George, the Australian who was contemplating his reply.

“Well, out at my dad’s ranch, you step out of the house and on the wall there’s a light switch. When you flip that switch, way out across the pasture the light in the barn comes on. Yep, TURNING ON A LIGHT is the fastest thing I can think of.”

The interviewer was very impressed with the third answer and thought he had found his man. “It’s hard to beat the speed of light” he said. Turning to Eleuterio, the Filipino, the fourth and final man, the interviewer posed the same question. Eleuterio replied,

” Apter herring da 3 frevyos ansers sirrr, et’s obyus to me dat the fastest theng known is Diarrhea..”

“WHAT!?” said the interviewer, stunned by the response.

“O I can expleyn serrr.” said Eleuterio.” YOU SEE SERR, DA other day I wasn’t peeling so good and I run sooo fast to the CR or bathroom,  but, before I could THINK, BLINK, or TURN ON THE LIGHT, ay ‘tang ina, I already had a big poo-poo in my pants!”

Eleuterio is now the new “Greeter” at Wal-Mart.

Hi, just wanna try if i could somehow help…

Being an innocent person or living a simple life like people living up in the mountains, rural areas, those who are less fortunate will not be thinking how life is measured, whats their status,.. cuz, their main problem will be food, how to get their children to school, but their primary concern will always be food. and also its a given fact that they have accepted their status in the society. and it is also another fact that anybody from a given society; rich or poor, gay or straight, stupid or smart.. has the right to dream of acheiving something or lets say a dream of becoming rich. and inorder to achieve their goal.. the road to success is not as easy as we might thought to be, might not be forgiving or mercyful.. like for example Manny Pacquiao.. before he became the PACMAN. he was a nobody. and before he entered boxing. he never thought of becoming a champion or become a wealthy person and be able to help those people hu are in need.. His only concern during those time was to earn money and help his family.. And because of his dedication, determination, passion to the sport, his now standing on top of the world. And even if his up there.. He always find ways to help his countrymen specially those who are in need.. and lets not talk about his vices.. that a given already, cuz you know, his childhood was not that memorable enough to be recorded in a video camera or a digicam, he dont have proper education cuz they dont have the financial capabilities. and also all humans are not perfect. in one way or another we have flaws and imperfections.. will just have to learn to accept ourselves and be contended that, thats hu we are, its part of our life and may people accept and acknowledge us for who and what we are. no more no less, dont be what ur not, be yourself and explore, discover and know more hu u really are.

“i for once, thought life is measured by what you have… what you earn… what your status in society is… but now as i live longer, i realize i’m not even half of what i thought i am.. many more people are better than me. smarter, wealthier, more loved and the list just goes on…”

on the first quote, i could say that you might be a career driven person and you have high hopes for yourself and for ur dreams, and then problems sets in, creating a big fuzz and is trying to block your dreams and goals and then you start getting confused, envious then depressed, having insecurities and distrust of self, non-optimistic. cuz of things not going ur way and what you want it to be. well, thats just my opinion..

ofcourse all of us do have dreams and goals in life., and quality of your dreams and goals will always depend on how you were brought up and molded who u are right now, what’s the type of environment you grew upon.. let’s assume you were properly brought up by your parents cuz ur idea of life is on the level of a middle-upper class status,.. cuz if u were on the low class, it would have been different especially nowadays where poverty is on the rise.. Its always good to have dreams. and nobody has the right to laugh at anybody’s dream, may it be just a simple dream or a very very out of this world dream.. our dreams always give us something to look forward to.. some people maybe lucky enough to achieve their dreams, and some may have regreted.. the thing is, no matter what kind of dream or goal we have., achievable or not in a lifetime., we should be happy about it that we have a dream or ambitions and we have tried to achieve something extraordinary.

Some dreams or goals might stay the same when time passes and some of them may change along the course of your life., Its because somethings are beyond our control. whether we like it or not, things change and happen for a reason., Our life is never static, we wud have been living a very dull life if thats the case.,,. Our life is always changing., dreams may or may not change under some given circumstances. and our personlaties and traits may vary from what we are before.. because we are learning what a person is like and what is living with our borrowed lifes all about. And everything do happen for a reason., it might be his will. or might be our destiny or the path to achieve the optimal level of a person’s well being.

“and then i started to question.. what makes me? i’m no better… i’m being pushed too hard to aim what i can’t even think i could… i struggle.. and then i try… i struggle harder and harder and even more and yet at the end, it’s all just nothing.. coz i am just nothing. only a spec… “

and ur 2nd quote,..

in any given pressure or undisirable cirmcumstance, their is a big possibilty that we always choke up on our first try, 2nd try, 3rd try so on and so forth, until we learn how to deal with these kind of situations , and then we get experienced or in other terms veterans of war and not being a casualty… just like Michael Jordan.. how many times did he missed on a winning basket, how many times did he sucumbed to pressure, how many times did he failed his teamates expectations.. it was countless,. and he never said  to himself that he quits, never he said to himself, he will no longer take the last shot, its becuz his teamates always looks up on him to take the last shot or let the ball rest on his hands during crunch time, its up to him, whether to shoot or opt to pass, and his teamates are always ready to take the center stage if ever he opted to pass,. and thats what you call teamwork. trust and confidence overhelms any given obstacle.. And so due to his perserverance, determination, iron will and the given trust by his teamates,he has become the greatest player to ever walk on the court during his time and still maybe even today nobody has ever surpass the achievement of his airness.

“It’s not how many times you get knocked down but it’s how many times you get back up and go forward”

“my friends think i’m great, i’m lucky, and that i have everything!!!! BUT WHAT THEY DO NOT KNOW IS THAT I FEEL THAT I”M NOTHING… right now, i’m starting to think that i’m going crazy… because people see me as a very very happy, cheerful and contented person. i want to believe  iam. i do. believe me… but i just can’t seem to keep up with the act anymore…”

3rd quote,. i could say that having a good reputation always has its own disadvantage.. As we can see it clearly, on how your trying to protect your very self image., but then thier is always a choice for us or alternatives to compensate for the limitations of our capabilities., it up to you to decide whether to keep your reputation or not,. or you might wanna do some renovation on the image you have built upon with out ever changing the foundation of your personality.. and its okay to fail, dont be afraid to be called a failure,. failures gives us two things, discouragement due to the fact you flunked,.. but then you learned something from youre mistakes and use that negative experience as encouragement to do better next time. because their is always a second chance.. a 2nd round perhaps… or a rematch to gain you very longing freedom..

“i cry… i pray… but i feel so empty.. my close friends tell me i’m alryt but i know, a hundred percent that i am not… “

4th.. ofcourse for women to show their weakness, they always cry. thats normal. and good thing that you pray but why are you feeling so empty.. you have your friends., family ryt?..but i bet one is lacking.,. someone or some special person hu is close to your heart, well., in that case.. dont rush it. love is always mysterious, dont solve a problem with a another problem., be open minded always.. and if you cry again.. cry with your friends., or with a special friend. dont cry alone.. i know their is always a person out there hu is more than willing to be ur crying shoulder.. and even if they dont speak or talk too much, by just having their presence is more than enough to give you comfort. Havent you felt that yet, were someone is just very happy of seeing you and not being able to express the kind of emotion they are having?.. If so, you are one of kind and special person..

“literary, what i’m doing ryt now is crazy coz i’m a very private person and yet i’m pouring myself out… some things are just out of my control… “

last qoute.,  if you think this is crazy and out of your control.. then let it be, because it happen for a reason., we dont know what that is yet but its up to you to discover why you were brought here and created a thread.. and its ok to be private but not too much.., try to open up and share,. share ur pain, agony, regrets.. and your glorious days too.. ~paburger!

in that way we can understand you much better,,.. k,

cuz i still need to study,, its our midterm week.. dang!!~ and i could conclude that, your taking things too personal,.. and ur so very stiff as if you are following some kind of principle that you lay down on your path. Well, life is a journey in deed, we may be contended of what we have, be able to live in a simple-decent, honest life and live one day at a time or think differently and be unsatisfied, be a hard to please person then strive hard, do anything we can or do the impossible inorder to live a very luxurious, a very high standard kind of living. well, Its just a matter of choice upon who we want to become.

But then again either any type of status in the society we choose to be.. lets not forget to have fun, smile, laugh and be happy whether were ok or not, problem free or not. Just like working in a call center environment, were you as a front line agent will have a big probability that 90% of your callers are irate clients.. In the process you got stress up, furiously mad, blood pressure boiling, tension is rising… but however after a days work. we let go of those not so good experiences and taking those side comments made by the callers  unpersonal, and then ending up in videoke bars, beer houses and its still daytime and laughing out loud with your friends about the irate callers you had.

And So I guess, you could try to be more social and have fun, so that you can lessen your stressful lifestyle. You might be doing something you dont like, but try to add flavor on it, and it will become more interesting. And also dont force your self too much, anything too much is bad, like too much sweet is bad, too much coffee is to no good.. And dont deprive yourself of something that you want,. And if you cant take the pressure and you feel that you will just falter in the end,. why not  change it,. I know your a med student,.. i know its hard.., why not shift as a nursing student.. lols, lots of doctors are doing that anyway.. and also, if you still have the steam or desire to become a doctor after achieving the status of a full pledge nurse,.. you might still have the chance to take it. and finished what you started and settle the old score.. cuz nobody can say that his too old  to go to school,.. life is always a learning process. everything we have experience is part of growing up. So just keep on learning, and learning,. and be happy of what your doing.. who knows you might be able to achieve the optimum level wellness of a person ..

just relax, chill, dont worry be happy cuz every little thing is gonna be alryt.

ciao~

Now were talking, it’s about time someone has to step up and dig more about this matter.

So whats about the LTO driver’s drug test? for me , this drug testing is pain in the pocket because its kind of pointless to have drug testing and medical check up upon renewing a license or registering a new license. Because, the kind of drug testing they conduct is really not that accurate. and also it is very costly, where in fact the rate should have been only 50 pesos rather than 300 pesos. I was even surprised when I myself renewed my license, it almost cost me 800 pesos for the the whole process, and that would be the license renewal plus medical check up and plus drug testing. and I find this medical checkup and drug testing a waste of money because its really up to no good. When i had my medical check up with this so called physician, he was just asking me questions and after a few minutes, tada! were done. and then goes the urine testing for drug testing purposes, and the testing only took a few minutes and later my name was called and my license got renewed.

I could say that this drug testing is kind of scheme so that they can earn more profit, were supposedly the price should only be 50pesos instead of 300pesos or so. These people are making this drug testing a business. It would be better if drug testing should only be mandatory to someone who has criminal records or have traffic cases. And for drug testing, it shoud be done randomly where police make check points in random places and do some drug testing on suspicious drivers. That way they can caught the drug addicts with evidence. Because with drug testing centers, anybody can cheat his way and get his license renewed. With the kind of government officials we have, anybody can bribe his way to freedom.

So i concluded that drug testing should not be mandatory for renewing a driver’s license. period!

~here we go again, just for the sake of nation’s interest, or I could say just for the sake of politics they will do anything to achieve perfection.

And so the singing child sensation of China was a fake. lols, She was just doing lypsync, For me it would look more sweet like icing on cake if the real Child appeared on stage and sung their national anthem. Even if the child does not look gud for China’s perception, in one way or another, she may be beautiful to the eye’s of the world. China just brought their tag to the public that almost all things that comes from China are fake.

I was really sorry for the child that was not given a chance to sing on stage, and  for China as the saying goes, dont be what your not, be real and be true to yourself, show your true colors, lols, take that, its Phil Collins Baby~

Im reposting this for awareness, and this came from a multiply account and also read thru istorya:

I have been flying to and from Manila and Cagayan de Oro every month and I’ve normally enjoyed flying. I’ve tried all the airlines and have concluded that apart from the usual delays and little imperfections, every company seemed satisfactory. That is, until August 1, 2008 when I had the most horrible and unfortunate incident with Cebu Pacific.

My flight was scheduled at 2:50 PM. I was excited because this was the first day that the NAIA terminal 3 had opened so I opted for an early check in. I arrived at 1:00 PM and had a normal, uneventful check in. Shortly after I got my boarding pass, I proceeded to the inner terminal. As I passed through security and x rays, the next sight that I saw was shocking. Instead of the usual airport bustle and people orderly going to their boarding gates, I saw hundreds of confused passengers trying to ask anyone for help. Some were sitting on the floor with their luggage, others just looked lost.

I tried to look for any directional signs to where I was supposed to go. As I looked at my boarding pass to get information, I noticed that the space for the boarding gate was blank! After wandering around for a few minutes, I found a girl in a Cebu Pacific shirt. She directed me to a tiny crowded counter. There, surrounded by hundreds of noisy passengers was one girl who was as confused as we were. She couldn’t give any concrete information about any of the flights!

After 30 minutes of waiting, she asked us to go down to the boarding gates and wait. That was 3:00 PM, past our flight time. We went down and waited for 30 minutes, only to be told that the flight was further delayed and that our new boarding gate was back upstairs.

Carrying our heavy luggage, we went up several flights of stairs and waited for boarding. At 4:30 PM, we finally boarded the plane. After 30 minutes of waiting, the pilot announced that the flight has been cancelled because it was too late to fly and it was impossible to land in CDO airport when its dark!

We went down the plane angry and confused. When we asked the crew what the reason was, they said that the flight couldn’t take off because thirteen passengers were missing! Of course, how would these poor lost passengers know what was going on? The ground crew didn’t have a PA system and the Cebu Pacific people were giving vague information. We also found out that several other flights were cancelled that day due to their incompetence.

We waited in front of the counter while a girl was giving us flimsy excuses and asking us to pick up our luggage. There was no representative from management to at least apologize to us. They said there was none present at the airport. This was highly impossible as I saw Cebu Pacific top officials having a lunch party at the area adjacent to the check in counters! Don’t tell me they didn’t know what was going on!

People were fuming mad. After a while, they told us that there will be a special flight for us at 5 am and that they were going book us in a hotel and that the shuttle bus was waiting outside.

We waited for the bus for 30 minutes. We were about a hundred thirty. Finally two buses (capacity about 40 plus each) and the staff stuffed us in. We felt like sardines during the 30 minute ride.

To add insult to injury, they brought us to a dank, sleazy hotel somewhere in Malate where prostitutes were lurking in the doorway, offering sex and massage to the foreigners who were with us. The passengers included several minors whose parents were shocked at this too. The rooms were musty and the included in the list of items in the bathroom item menu were local and imported condoms! It was disgusting! They put us in a motel! And according to the staff this was their “official hotel”! This airline’s sister companies are Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza !!!! Why didn’t they put us in there? They then offered us a poor meal at around 8:30 in the evening.

They woke us up at 1 AM, put us on the bus at 2 AM, gave us packed food on the bus (half a bangus and rice) but they didn’t give us any water or drink!

We arrived at the terminal at 2:30PM, lacking sleep and very tired. We were shocked to be told that there was no special check in lane and we had to go and check in like the other new passengers. One foreigner, who was a doctor who came for a Charitable medical mission in Mindanao yelled something like this: “ Get me out of the Philippines !” This is horrible! “ Another foreigner, who was a pilot for an airline told us that he has never experienced such incompetence, unprofessionalism and humiliation in his life because of a delayed flight. Not only did Cebu Pacific make their passengers mad, they have shamed our country!

At this point, we got mad and demanded that a special lane be provided for us. The duty manager didn’t come until 30 minutes after and the people in the counters were rude to us. They were not listening and they were turning their backs to us whenever we’d talk to them.

We finally got to check in after we made a big fuss. When they handed us our boarding pass, they told us to go to gate 131. Our boarding time was supposedly 4:30 AM. We waited for thirty minutes, only to be told that we should transfer to gate 134 and that the flight was delayed.

In counter 134, passengers were demanding for the one way ticket travel voucher that was promised to us. They gave it only after an hour and after we asked for it and the counter clerk told us we had to pay travel and fuel taxes! The nerve of management to put us through this and give us something worth nothing! Meanwhile, another flight delay was announced.

At this point, we demanded that the duty manager speak to us. The counter personnel was giving excuses. We asked for names and they could just give us first names and they said they didn’t know the officers’ family names because they were “just newly hired”!

We made our own initiative and proceeded to the check in counter to demand for the duty manager. We finally talked to her and we demanded that she apologize and explain to us passengers why this all happened. We also told her to provide food especially for the children.

On the way back to the terminal, the manager was stopped by passengers from other flights asking for directions. One angry foreigner who missed his Dumaguete flight was so upset! It turns out that we were not the only ones inconvenienced by their incompetence.

When we finally got to gate 134, we told the manager to make the announcements. Another person arrived with a radio. We overheard that there were no available plane for us! They lied to us! They never arranged for a special flight! They were about to announce another flight cancellation when people went wild. The manager had no choice but to request that the plane from Butuan be given to us.

A staff member arrived and they announced that they were going to give us breakfast. They distributed 2 packets of Dewberry cookies and the tiniest mineral water bottle for each passenger! They call that breakfast? After approximately seven hours of waiting deprived of sleep, they couldn’t even offer us a decent meal! There were more that 10 children there and when we asked that they at least given some Jollibee breakfast, the manager said “We’re sorry but we cant do anything. This is all the management allowed to give us.”. How could they do this to us?

Finally, after what seemed like forever, we boarded the plane at around 9:00 AM. When we took off, the passengers applauded. A few minutes after, the flight was completely quiet because all of us were tired.. We slept but not soundly enough, being constantly reminded about the nightmare that we had just gone through.

We got to Cagayan de Oro and we were thankful to be safe. However, we all resolved to relate this horrible experience to all our family and friends until it reaches Cebu Pacific management. We also all signed a manifesto/complaint to be submitted to concerned agencies so that this unfortunate incident wouldn’t be duplicated.

To date, we are still hearing of cancelled flights and complaints because of incompetence from Cebu Pacific management and staff. We could understand that no one is perfect but there is no excuse for treating people badly. We were not expecting VIP treatment although some airlines give this to their inconvenienced passengers. What made this all intolerable was that fact that we were not treated as human beings. We especially pity the children who had experienced this ordeal. Their innocence has been marred by an airline’s lack of consideration and disrespect for their customers.

We hope that if this reaches the management, they will do something to rectify this mistake. They just lost more than 70 passengers and they will lose so much more soon.

This is a horrible experience that anyone shouldn’t be able to go through. I hope it doesn’t happen to any of you.

May Salvana – Unchuan

We are the passengers of Cebu Pacific Air flight 5J 389 on August 1, 2008 (2:50 PM flight) and we would like to warn people to think twice before flying with them. Their advertorials say “ Cebu Pacific is committed to giving you quality service at the lowest airfare possible and now, with our brand new Airbus fleet, we believe it’s time every Juan flies.” – Today, we have proven that this is a lie! They don’t care about passengers. They have lousy service. The ad should go, “Cebu Pacific is committed to giving you the lowest airfare possible and because you paid for cheap seats, we can’t give you any service.” At least they could’ve just been honest.

~dang.. what kind of customer service they have?? The passengers were lucky enough that none of them got sick. This very unethical. The Carwash boys do much better customer service than this people who have earned a bachelor’s degree. Is this just for the sake of money?? oh well, just my 2 centavos..
